Crop conditions took a step backwards according to NASS in this week’s reports. Corn conditions nationally were reported 73% good-excellent vs. 74% last week and 76% last year.
Soybean conditions also deteriorated at 67% good-excellent vs. 69% last week and 73% last year.
Corn emergence is reported at 97% vs. 96% last year and 95% on average. Soybean planting is 87% complete vs. 91% last year and 90% on average. Missouri is noticeably behind average at only 42% planted. Soybean emergence is 75% vs. 81% last year and 77% on average.
