INITIAL SOYBEAN CONDITIONS RELEASED

NASS released the first national soybean condition score report of the season on Monday.  The national crop is rated 66% good-excellent which was near expectations but well below last year’s rating of 74% good-excellent at this time.

Corn conditions slipped to 67% good-excellent vs. 68% last week and 75% last year.  In particular, the trade is paying close attention to key states where there is a large amount of poor to very poor rated corn.  This is prevalent in east central corn belt states and the northern plains states.
