On Friday, May 4th, Beef Nutritionist, Carl Sackreiter and Feed Management Assistant, Jackie Welter, and Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) SE Area Program Director, Michael Knight, visited Primrose Schools in Rochester, MN.  The children were preschool and kindergarten age and they had been learning about agriculture all week for their Spring Fling 2018.  The children had some very good questions and they knew the answers to many of the questions that we asked them!  Carl & Michael brought a dairy cow statue, which the kids were able to milk and Jackie brought a boer goat kid for the children to interact with.  After the outdoor activities, everyone filed into the classroom, washed their hands and enjoyed beef sticks and string cheese while Carl and Jackie talked about the animals on their farms.  Everyone was given a farm-themed activity book to take home, courtesy of MFBF.
