WEEKLY CROP PROGRESS 10-7-18

Crop Progress 10/7/18:

Wet weather moving across much of the country has taken its toll on the pace of soybean harvest.  Soybean harvest has gone from being ahead of the 5-year average to behind the average pace now at 32% complete vs. 36% on average.  Generally, the northwestern half of the country is behind while east and south are ahead.

Corn harvest is still ahead of average at 34% complete vs. 26% on average.  Corn may slip behind in next week’s report as wet weather has stalled most harvest activity.
