SEED SPOTLIGHT – NOVEMBER 29

Harvest Update

There was much to be thankful for this year on Thanksgiving.  Many were thankful to have harvest wrapped up.  There were some out there that were thankful for the weekend’s favorable weather to get a little more harvest, tillage, and manure application completed.  I would hazard to guess that even more of us were thankful to be closing the shed doors on the 2018 crop year in general. Charted below is the 2016, 2017, and 5 year averages for the percentage of corn harvested across Minnesota for comparison.

The state of Minnesota is 96% complete with corn harvest, which is 9 days behind of last year. Average moisture for the grain harvested this past week was 18.1%.

Seed Spotlight of the Week – November 29

This week we are spotlighting DKC52-84SS, a 102 day hybrid from Dekalb. If you are in search of the perfect hybrid for your best piece of ground, this may be it. Read more below for placement!

This week we have placed the spotlight on S18-H3X, a 1.8 maturity Xtend soybean form NK. We had the opportunity to see this variety this past year in plots and in the field. Look for this to be a strong 1.8 maturity and to be placed in bulk bins scattered throughout the AgPartners territory.
