Job Summary:
This full-time position provides safe, efficient refined fuels delivery to our residential and commercial customers, maintains customer relationships, and positively represents the company. This position will operate local routes and be at home daily. Employees must have a positive attitude, be willing to work within a team atmosphere and be safety focused. This position may include the opportunity to cross-train with other company departments.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Loads, secures, transports, delivers and unloads diesel, gas, and other related products to customers safely and efficiently.
- Accurately deliver products and perform in such a manner as to promote and maintain good customer relations.
- Accurately complete all invoices and related paperwork promptly.
- Completes all records and documentation of activities as required by regulatory agencies.
- Comply with all federal and state Department of Transportation regulations.
- Know and follow all company safety policies/procedures. Safely perform work while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulations.
- Perform accurate pre-trip inspections. Report maintenance items to the supervisor.
- Make decisions and follow instructions with little or no supervision.
- Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor or management.
- Represent yourself and Ag Partners professionally at all times in action and appearance.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- One year of relevant experience or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.
- Maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brakes, general, tanker, and hazmat endorsements. Maintain air brake endorsement with a Class B CDL. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Maintain required Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification.
- Maintain insurability requirements following property and casualty insurance guidelines.
- Obtain industry training and certification and retain accreditation as required.
- Ability to work in a team or independently, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and accept responsibility and accountability for job performance.
Physical Requirements:
- This position will be subject to outdoor temperature fluctuations, bouncing, or jolting.
- Work conditions may include dust, fumes, moderate to loud noise, uneven surfaces, and heights.
- Ability to work additional hours during the fall harvest season to meet business demands.
- Ability to work near moving equipment, outside and inside, and in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry 20 to 75 pounds; regularly stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, push and pull; good finger dexterity.
