Information Technology Technician
Job Summary:
The IT Technician serves as the primary contact for end-user support and assists in the day-to-day operations of the IT department. Extended hours may be required during busy periods. Additional duties may be assigned as business needs change.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with employees and provide friendly, professional support.
- Create, respond to, and escalate support tickets promptly.
- Support end-users with:
- Hardware and software: installation, credential management, troubleshooting (Windows, email, printing, networking, peripherals)
- Mobile devices: setup, troubleshooting
- Desk phones: installation, configuration, troubleshooting
- Assist in IT operations
- Maintain documentation, inventory, and assist with user education.
- Identify and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Honest, dependable, and accountable, with a strong work ethic and committed to integrity.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Relevant education or equivalent experience, including degrees, certifications, or end-user support experience in a business environment preferred.
- Strong observational and listening skills; effective written and verbal communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to speak, hear, see, and use hands/fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- May require use of hand tools, working on a step ladder, and minimal climbing or working at heights, sometimes in dusty environments.
- Moderate noise levels consistent with an office setting (phones, computers, printers, conversations, etc.)
