The 2026 Burn Down results are in!
September 4, 2026
The Ag Partners nutrition and agronomy teams helped collect and sample over 90 samples on Thursday, 9/3. The results are summarized by our Goodhue, Lewiston, and Ellsworth locations. The results shown are as reported from the lab. A typical guideline is to add 2-3 points of moisture when a sample is run through a chipper instead of a chopper.
Corn plants continue to dry down as expected, reaching ideal harvest moistures in several of the samples. Recent rain in the Ellsworth area added to external moisture to those samples, and may not accurately reflect the natural change happening.

AUGUST 28, 2026
The Ag Partners nutrition and agronomy teams helped collect and sample over 225 corn samples on Thursday 8/27. The results are summarized by our Goodhue, Lewiston, and Ellsworth locations. The results shown are as reported from the lab. A typical guideline is to add 2-3 points of moisture when a sample is run through a chipper instead of a chopper.
There was a wide range of moistures reported, likely driven by the variability in rainfall across the region.
