Agronomy Associate
Job Summary:
This position will learn from our industry-leading Agronomy Sales staff and supplier partners to understand the agronomy sales business before being placed in a territory. During the trainee program, they will focus on understanding Ag Partners’ business, product lines, precision ag services, and operations. This is not an all-encompassing list of duties; other responsibilities may be added with business needs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Professional Development
- Possess and maintain knowledge of agronomy-related products, programs and the agronomy industry
- Attend meetings, training, professional development, and continuing education opportunities
- Collaborate with experienced agronomists to gain hands-on experience in the field
Sales Support
- Gain experience in the operational side of the business as it relates to supporting the sale
- Collaborate with the sales team to support and execute sales strategies
- Assist in preparing and delivering product presentations to current and potential customers
- Utilize data-derived insights to make recommendations to customers
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
- Ability to remain goal-driven in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills, including multi-tasking, planning, and prioritizing
- Strong work ethic to see tasks through to completion
- Desire to work towards and complete CCA certification
Licenses, Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Meet the driver qualification standards
- Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds, up to 25 pounds constantly, and work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work extended hours during the busy season, including weekends.
- Pre-employment drug testing is required. Comply with the Drug and Alcohol Policy
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
