Job Summary:

This position will learn from our industry-leading Agronomy Sales staff and supplier partners to work toward understanding the agronomy sales business before being placed in a permanent territory. Understanding Ag Partners’ business, product lines, precision ag services and operations will be the focus of the time spent in our trainee program.

Key Roles:

Professional Development

  • Possess and maintain knowledge of agronomy related products/programs and the agronomy industry
  • Attend meetings, training, professional development, and continuing education opportunities
  • Collaborate with experienced agronomists to gain hands on experience in the field

Sales Support

  • Collaborate with the sales team to support and execute sales strategies
  • Assist in preparing and delivering product presentation to current and potential customers
  • Utilize data derived insights to make recommendations to customers
  • Gain experience in the operational side of the business as it relates to supporting the sale

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities

  • Desire to work towards and complete CCA certification

Licenses, Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Meet the driver qualification standards
  • Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds, up to 25 pounds constantly, and work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Ability to work extended hours during the busy season including weekends.
  • Pre-employment drug testing required. Comply with the Drug and Alcohol Policy
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
