Agronomy Location Manager
Job Summary:
The Agronomy Location Manager provides overall leadership and operational oversight for agronomy operations and staff at the Durand and Osseo locations. This role ensures agronomy services are completed safely, correctly, and on time. The manager leads and develops employees, follows company standards and safety rules, and helps teams work efficiently during busy seasons. This position balances people leadership with daily operations to deliver consistent, high-quality service to our customers. This is not an all-encompassing list of duties; other duties may be assigned as business needs change.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage operations employees at the Durand and Osseo locations, including hiring, training, coaching, performance reviews, and discipline.
- Build strong teams by setting clear expectations, giving regular feedback, and helping employees work safely, productively, and efficiently during peak seasons.
- Ensure work is done safely, correctly, and on time by following company standards and safety rules.
- Support business goals by working closely with sales, managing expectations, maintaining quality, and improving how work gets done by being adaptable and innovative.
- Oversee daily agronomy operations by working with dispatchers to plan and schedule dry and liquid application equipment to meet customer and business needs.
- Stay current on agronomy products, services, and industry trends to sell agronomy products and provide high-quality service to farmers.
- Support customer service needs by assisting with orders, invoicing, returns, payments, and product loading when needed.
- Manage inventory by ensuring accurate receiving, entry, invoicing, physical counts and adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements, including DOT, OSHA, EPA, USDA, and state rules.
- Partner with the Safety Director to promote a safe workplace through training, housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and fixing safety issues.
- Assist with budget planning, asset needs, and responsible use of company resources.
- Ensure office and clerical work is supported to keep operations and customer service running smoothly.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with employees, customers, other locations, departments, and leadership.
- Travel between the Durand and Osseo locations as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed to support business operations.

Education and Experience:
- At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience required.
- Experience in production agriculture with a strong agronomy background
- 2- or 4-year degree in related field preferred but not required.
- Class A CDL with endorsements preferred
- Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Pesticide Applicators license with required endorsements
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift 50-100 pounds on a regular basis.
- Work conditions may include dust, fumes, loud noise, uneven surfaces, heights, and outdoor weather conditions.
- Work around moving equipment, both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, bend, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday.
- Ability to see, hear, speak, and use hands to operate equipment, computers, and phones.
- Travel to other locations may be required.
- Must pass DOT physical, pre-employment drug screening, and all required follow-up testing.
