Job Summary:
The position oversees Ag Partners’ liquid fertilizer and crop protection product inventory and delivery within this territory by having effective and timely communication with other managers, teammates, and vendors. They support location leadership and sales staff to guide and fulfill customer orders of bulk and/or packaged liquid fertilizer and all crop protection products. This is not an all-encompassing list of responsibilities and may be assigned other duties based on business needs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead liquid fertilizer and crop protection product inventory operations, including receiving, warehousing, preparing customer pick up and custom application orders, and all aspects of inventory management
- Work with staff to prepare and complete deliveries of liquid fertilizer, crop protection and seed products; work with staff to ensure scheduled readiness of all products and equipment
- Act as a backup seed treater
- Have a basic working knowledge of liquid flow (pumps, plumbing, meters, registers, etc).
- Maintain knowledge of all relevant regulations and oversee compliance with applicable regulatory agencies (MDA, DOT, OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Oversee facility upkeep and maintenance.
- Collaborate with others to organize the warehouse, upkeep the seed-treating equipment, daily housekeeping measures, and support safety efforts.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, other locations, and all levels of management and within a timely manner.
- Cross-trains to support department duties to fill in other roles if/when needed.
- Promote safety in the workplace; identify and communicate workplace hazards promptly, correcting unsafe conditions or actions as able. Follow all PPE and safety guidelines.
- Identify and resolve inadequacies in processes; assist in developing ways to increase efficiency.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Obtain & Maintain MN Commercial Pesticide Applicators License, minimum categories A & H
- A working knowledge of basic agronomy products and services is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge in automation software or ability & willingness to learn and become a proficient user of these programs.
- Ability to work irregular hours during the spring and fall season, including evening and weekend hours, as business dictates.
- Ability to produce high-quality, accurate work and meet relevant deadlines while managing multiple priorities.

Education and Experience:
- Experience in production agriculture with an agronomy background is preferred.
- H 2- or 4-year degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
- Have a valid Class D driver’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain a Class A CDL. Travel to other locations
- Able to be licensed as a forklift operator.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be over 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be able to read and speak English fluently.
- Able to perform heavy work by lifting 75 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
- Must also be able to regularly stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, push and pull.
- Working conditions may include dust, fumes, moderate to loud noise levels, uneven surfaces, and various heights.
- Work near moving equipment, outside and inside, and in all-weather conditions.
- While performing job duties, one must speak, hear, see, and use hands/fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and all subsequently required drug screens.
