Kernel to Kernel with Tanner

B155EE
Brevant • 1.5 RM

B155EE is the variety I have been the most excited about this year. I’ve personally seen 3 plots in southeast Minnesota, and B155EE came out on top in all 3. It is a very exciting 1.5 RM bean that has great agronomics and yield potential!

Tanner Boelter
Seed Lead

Tanner’s Top Takeaways:

→ Standability of this variety is exceptional good. Even with White Mold they stood very well. Heard from a few growers that the B155EE was their best standing bean this year and combined very well.

→ Very happy how they handle both White Mold and Sudden death.

→ This is a PEKING variety as well. If you have been using PI88.788 for Soybean Cyst Nematode protection, this would be a good switch to manage those populations as well.

→ I also wouldn’t be afraid of planting these beans in April, especially if you pair with a seed treatment. It handles early planting and no till very well.

I know for how well this variety yielded in plots and out in full fields, the Brevant B155EE will sell out and it’s just a matter of time. This variety is one to be very excited about and don’t wait too long to get your hands on some!    – Tanner

MINNESOTA – WEST

Belle Plaine – Le Center – Le Sueur – Morristown – Traverse

We are starting to wrap up our 2026 soybean harvest, and the only word that comes to mind is WOW! This may end up being a record soybean harvest for the West Territory. Soybeans always seem to be the crop that tests our patience with slow starts in the morning and early evenings that cut harvest days short, but those challenges are a lot easier to handle when yields are this good. With these outstanding yields, it’s important to think about nutrient removal. As soybean yields increase, so does the amount of phosphorus and potassium removed from the soil. If we don’t replace those nutrients, we risk mining fertility levels and impacting future productivity.

If you’re harvesting exceptional soybean yields this fall, take a close look at your fertility program. It may be worth increasing fall fertilizer rates to ensure you’re adequately replacing what was removed and maintaining soil fertility levels across your fields. A great soybean crop is something to celebrate, but it’s also an opportunity to protect the productivity of those acres for years to come. Don’t let high yields lead to lower fertility levels. Contact your Ag Partners Agronomist or AYS Specialist today to ensure your fields are properly replenished and positioned for another successful crop year. – Erin

MINNESOTA – EAST

Goodhue – Kenyon – Lake City – Pine Island – Wanamingo

Here to the east, guys are wrapping up soybean harvest and rolling right into corn! From what I’ve heard, farmers are happy with how the beans yielded this year. Always good to hear!

As we move through October, the focus is shifting toward finishing harvest and preparing for the 2027 growing season. This is a busy time of year, but it’s also a great opportunity to evaluate this year’s crops and start planning for next year.

Grid sampling is a great place to start! It helps identify fertility deficiencies across fields and determine where fertilizer dollars can provide the greatest return. If you haven’t started thinking about soil sampling and fall fertility yet, now is a great time to get a plan in place for the 2027 crop year.

Reach out to your Ag Partners Agronomist to discuss grid sampling, soil fertility, and fall fertilizer plans! Hope everyone has a safe and successful rest of the fall! – Hayden

MINNESOTA – SOUTH

Elgin – Lewiston – Stewartville

Harvest is finally upon us.  After a dry August and wetter than normal September, the last two weeks have turned around and made for an excellent start to grain harvest.  With last weeks above normal temperature’s most of the soybeans were harvested with sub optimal grain moisture.  While we were harvesting soybeans the corn took advantage of the temperatures and dried down very nicely also.  As we started into corn the beginning of this week, growers were pleasantly surprised by the 8-10% points of moisture that the warm weather had taken out of the grain corn.  With the weather we have experienced over the last couple of months it has set up a plethora of diseases in the corn.  As I have walked some corn fields, it has been made very apparent that it is a good idea to evaluate your corn fields for stalk issues and harvest those first.  With all the moisture in September and recently warm weather, stalks have deteriorated fast from anthracnose and gibberella stalk rots.  Don’t hesitate to get harvest started before having to pick up the corn off the ground.  So far, we have seen some tremendous yields from those that have started harvest.  Stay safe and have an excellent harvest this season.  – Brett

WESTERN WISCONSIN

Durand – Ellsworth – New Richmond – Osseo

Harvest is well underway across the area, with some growers finishing up on soybeans and working their way through their corn. Overall, yields have been good considering the dry weather conditions we had throughout this growing season. As harvest continues and fields open up, soil sampling and fall fertilizer applications will be getting started soon. This will be a good opportunity to evaluate nutrient levels and start making plans for next year’s crop. – Matthew
