Job Summary:
Regular hours can vary, extended hours may be necessary during peak times and as business dictates. This individual will provide excellent customer service to our customers: taking feed orders, phone inquiries, greeting as they enter. This position also will also include loading/unloading products of various weights into/out of customers’ vehicles and inventory management. This is not an all-encompassing list of duties; other duties may be added as needed with business need.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Providing excellent customer service
- Answering incoming calls/greeting customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Assisting customers with feed: ordering, loading/unloading vehicles, trailers, etc. by hand or by a forklift.
- Assisting customers with product selection and purchasing; answering questions regarding product location, price and use.
- Ensure store is stocked and clean; exterior and grounds are cleaned and maintained (ie. mowing, shoveling, etc.)
- Inventory- ensuring correct counts, adjusting/ordering as needed.
- Identifying and resolving inadequacies in processes; assist in developing ways to increase efficiency.
- Completing tasks in a timely manner.

- Using common office equipment, multi-line phone, computer, printer, scanner, copier, fax machine, etc.
Education & Experience:
- Previous experience in retail preferred.
- Experience with feed and grain is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of the job, it is required to speak, hear, see, and use hands/fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, push and pull.
- Moderate to heavy lifting is required (50-100 lbs.).
- The use of a forklift may be required.
