The initial soybean condition score report of the season reported 69% combined good to excellent.  Some industry analysts were expecting slightly higher scores.  Soybean planting was reported 79% complete vs. 86% last year and 81% on average.  Soybean emergence is at 64% vs. 68% last year and 63% on average.

Corn conditions were steady again this week at 74% good-excellent vs. 75% last year.  Corn emergence is 91% vs. 90% last year and 90% on average.
